Story Board
BackgroundThe storyboard is a rough illustration of all the shots in a movie. This does not need to be an artistic creation, you can even do it with stck people or photos. The sequence can help tell the story (e.g. a graphic novel).
Storyboards are a way planning for a more complex or involved portrayal. Storyboards are often a tool to plan out videos but are also an important technique for developing other forms of multimedia. There is no one way to do a storyboard but consider who will see the storyboard and how it will be shared. A storyboard created for your individual viewing will be different from one you share with a group, which would be different from one you send to a reviewer without the benefit of your presence. Be obsessed with detail but with an eye for the bigger picture. Tips for good storyboarding:
The following videos will provide a good introduction to storyboarding.
The following video discusses storyboard cration for animated shorts so if you are not doing animated shorts then ignore the comments relevant to only animated shorts - the rest of the comments are still valid.
